We offer complimentary 15-minute phone or video conferencing consultations. This is to ensure that both you and your therapist are a good fit for one another. Research shows the relationship between you and your therapist has the biggest impact on the effectiveness of your therapy.
As of January 2023, our fees for services are as follows:
50-minute individual sessions are $175;
50-minute couples or family sessions are $200;
On a case-by-case basis, we may recommend alternate session length; fees for these sessions are prorated per the above rates.
How often your sessions occur will be determined by both you and your therapist.
Insurance
We do not accept insurance, however, we are able to provide an invoice or "superbill" on request for you to submit to your health insurance provider for possible out-of-network reimbursement to you. Many insurance companies reimburse for out-of-network providers; however, they will require a diagnosis - please check with your provider about your specific coverage and separate deductibles.
Some people choose to use their health savings account or flex spending account which do not require a diagnosis or limit services in as many ways.
Unfortunately, current Colorado laws prevent us from charging clients who are on Medicaid; so, if you are on Medicaid, we cannot see you, regardless of price.
(We are aware that some of our therapists appear on various insurance directories; this is out-of-date information that we are still trying to get removed, and we apologize for the inconvenience.)
As of May 2023: Cheryl can take some insurance for Michigan clients only. (Aetna, Cigna, Oscar Health, Oxford, and United Healthcare.)
Payment
Payment is required at the time of your appointment. Health savings accounts, cash, check and all major credit cards accepted for payment. A valid credit card number will be required to book your initial session - we will ask you to create an account through IvyPay, a HIPPA-compliant phone app prior to meeting you the first time.
Cancellation Policy
We require 24-hour's notice for cancellations. If you do not show up for your scheduled therapy appointment, you will be required to pay the full cost of the missed session. This is because notice allows us to call our wait-list to refill that appointment time; without enough notice, that time-slot cannot be refilled. In the event of inclement weather, we follow the BVSD school district closures and will call/email you to inform you of cancellations and to reschedule. If you are ill, please consider a teletherapy session instead of canceling.
